Brand New Heavy Duty Billet Toyota Land Cruiser A440F Torque Convertor

These Brand New Billet units exceeded the original design in every way and more than doubles the capability of the old torque convertor, More Power, Improves Fuel Economy (feedback that we have received puts this at about 12-13% better), Also Improves Engine Braking and keeps the transmission running much cooler.

One of the major problems to face the Toyota Land Cruiser A440F Automatic Transmission is overheating. Over half the A440F transmissions that were coming in for rebuild were all due to the transmission over heating. We first discovered the problem when our customers that were installing any sort of V8 conversion invariantly stumbled upon what seemed to be an unsolvable problem.

We quickly came to understand that this has been a long standing problem with these transmissions. The standard 3F and 3FE factory Toyota motors didn't seem to show the problem as much unless towing but the problem certainly become more noticeable with the 2H and 12HT diesel engines. While the V8 conversions made the situation impossible.

The more power you have or the greater weight that you were towing made the problem stand out and start to cause major problems that in most cases brought about an early retirement to the transmission.

We spent a great deal of time and money trying to solve this problem that seemed to be giving even the very best rebuilders around the world a headache but we did finally find a way to solve the problem completely.

What come out of 4 years of fact finding, development and testing was the Brand New Heavy Duty Billet A440F Torque Convertor.

There was simply no use in trying to continue trying to modify the factory fitted torque convertor because the base design just wasn't up to the task no matter what we did. So we now build and fit our Brand New Billet Torque Convertor all built using modem technology.

We have 3 differant versions available.
1/ 2F, 3F & 3FE (35mm Spigot) Comes with new crank bolts & Loctite
2/ 2H and 12HT (32mm Spigot) Comes with new crank bolts & Loctite
3/ Low Stall V8 Conversion (35mm Spigot)
