After 2 years of trial and error we have finally managed to find a way to lower the convertor stall speed of the A440F, A442F, A353F and A750 Toyota Landcruiser and RE4RO3A Nissan Patrol. We have found that this is a must before any V8 conversion is considered as using the standard convertor behind any V8 engine turns the convertor into an instant high stall. This will generate so much heat when the lock up is not engaged that the life expectancy of the transmission in many cases have been recorded on a regular basis to be as low as 100km with most transmissions lost at 5000km. You simply CAN NOT do a V8 conversion without altering the convertor. ... Read

Our Technical, Development and Motorsports Division of Wholesale Automatics have done it again with the release of our Extreme Stage II 4L80E 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. The 4L80E is basically a 4 speed T/400 that comes standard as a computer controlled unit but can also be used as hydraulic unit once modified without the need for any wiring or computer to run the transmission. Our development team has been playing with these units for some time now and have successfully built this unit into what is now considered to be the strongest 4 speed automatic transmission for it's size, we have so far managed to bolt up to 900HP in front of our Extreme Stage II 4L80E Full Manual units which is 350HP more than the T/700R4 ( 4L60 & 4L60E ) Extreme 4 Speed Transmissions. While we believe it's possible that more HP could be put through the 4L80E but have not found anybody with a suitable project that would necessitate so much HP. ... Read

Our Technical, Development and Motorsports department have just released photos of their new Powerglide bell housing that allows the almost indestructible 2 Speed Powerglide transmission to bolt directly up to the Holden V6 engines. Primarily designed for both Speedway and Drag Racing the bell housing can be used with either a Direct Drive Unit, Hi Stall or a convertor that is better suited for street use.
